Mountain View Cottages are non house keeping cottages. There is NO NYS SALES TAX on stays of 7 days or more and NO WARREN COUNTY OCCUPANCY TAX on stays of 30 days and more (effective 09/01/2020, Local Law #5 of 2018). Rent is not subject to sales tax or occupancy tax provided: services such as house cleaning, maid, room, mail, entertainment, planned activities and other services commonly provided by hotels and motels are not provided. All accommodations are furnished and are complete living units with a porch, their own kitchen, bathroom and bedroom(s). Towels and personal toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.) are not and can not be provided.
