ADK’s Heart Lake Program Center and Johns Brook Property are tucked away in the High Peaks Wilderness Area, one of the wildest and most remote places in the Northeast. Each offers unique accommodations, including lodges, cabins, and camping.

HEART LAKE PROGRAM CENTER:

Built in 1927, the Adirondak Loj has space for 38 guests in a combination of private rooms, bunk rooms, and a co-ed loft. Delicious home-cooked meals, with homemade breads, soups, and desserts, are served in our rustic dining room. The comfortable living room, with its stone fireplace, is perfect for recounting the day’s adventures or just relaxing with a book from our Adirondack library.

JOHNS BROOK PROPERTY

Johns Brook Lodge is a backcountry lodge located in the heart of the Adirondack High Peaks outside of Keene Valley, NY. It is a 3.5-mile hike in from the Garden Parking Area in Keene Valley. The lodge sleeps 28 people in co-ed bunk rooms. During July and August rates include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From Labor Day to late-June the lodge operates under caretaker service. This means guests provide and cook their own food and have full access to the JBL kitchen.
