In 2016, founders Robert Harte and Michael Dupee combined their backgrounds in education and corporate sustainability, and passion for nature to form Revolution Rail Company. The two were already friends when Robert approached Michael with the seed of an idea – together, they designed and built the company (and the bikes!)  from scratch, partnered with a supportive local community in North Creek, NY, and launched Revolution Rail Company in July 2017 with six railbikes.  Edward LaScala, offering his background in business and finance, joined Robert and Michael in 2020, rounding out the leadership team.  The working friendship between the three has driven Revolution Rail to become a leader in the railbiking industry.  Revolution Rail offers more than just a railbike ride – they provide a unique educational experience for their guests and a committed partner for the businesses and communities in which they are located. Today, Revolution Rail Company runs a fleet of railbikes in five different locations (and growing!) and has taken over 100,000 happy railbikers from all over the world out on the rails to experience nature in a brand new way!
