A Saranac Lake Bed & Breakfast / Escape to the Adirondacks.

Franklin Manor is a historic Queen Anne style home built circa 1896 by D. W. Riddle in the Village of Saranac Lake, NY, the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Once a cure cottage for the treatment of tuberculosis, the property was known as the Carmelite Monastery from 1952 to 1998 before it was lovingly renovated as the bed & breakfast it is today. Although renovations and updates have been made to the Manor to make it more comfortable and energy efficient, Franklin Manor still remains true to its original build and contains most of its original architecture. Displayed in various areas of the Manor are antique photos and blueprints in its original state.

Franklin Manor is within walking distance of Lake Flower, the Baker Mountain trailhead, and downtown Saranac Lake where you will find wonderful restaurants, bars, shops, and local artists. Lake Placid is less than 10 miles away. Hiking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing, swimming, leaf peeping, antiquing, skiing, snowboarding are all nearby.

At Franklin Manor, we strive to make your Adirondack experience comfortable and unforgettable.
