Farmhouse Snowmobiling
Our farm, orginally called "The Sister's Farm," was built in 1905. The farm was used by nuns to grow food for patients of the local tuberculosis sanitarium. They grew a variety of vegetables along with livestock such as cows, pigs, and horses. In 1960, the farm was purchased by Asplins tree farm, where they planted over 10,000 Christmas trees on the property. Some of these trees were never harvested and tours run through the now tall balsam trees. The farm house fell into the disrepair until 1990 when the property was bought by the Freeburgs. Dick Freeburg restored the house and was also awarded a grant to restore the barn in 2005.
We offer an hour and a half tour. Not too short, not too long. We've found that this time is ideal for families and still gives plenty of time for photos and breaks. This is approximately 20 miles of riding.
We like to keep the rides personable and promote a family adventure. If you have a large family or group and need more snowmobiles, we are happy to cater to the large group. If the tour consists of mixed groups, we prefer to keep a limit of 6 snowmobiles per tour.
