Ticonderoga Golf Course
Ticonderoga Golf Course
Ticonderoga Golf Course opened its tee boxes in the Spring of 1926. Nearly a century later, TGC has both expanded and evolved, not only staying true to its North Country roots, but also with a vision toward the next 100 years. Nestled between the mountains bordering Lake George and the foothills of the Adirondack Park, TGC is known both as a fun and open course, while, at the same time, serving up challenging holes to the seasoned golfer.
Over the last several years, the course has undergone a major upgrade, altering the layout of existing holes, constructing brand new greens and tee boxes, and entirely reworking several holes to respond better to the sometimes uncertain Northern Lake George winters and springs.
A short 89 years ago, The Ticonderoga Sentinel newspaper wrote that TGC “is rapidly gaining the distinction among not only golf enthusiasts of the game in Essex County, but also throughout the state, as a course which is replete with the qualities of a championship links.”
