Personal
I'm a native of the Warrensburg area and a graduate of Warrenburg Central School. Growing up in the country with parents that raised me to believe that I could do anything instilled in me strong family values and pride in home, country, family and God. My youth was filled with extra-curricular activities and organizations centered around school, church and athletics. I graduated from the State University of New York and I began my journey to find the peace and contentment that everyone deserves in life.
I have worn many hats in my professional career. My early years were spent in the sales field until an interest in real estate developed. I felt in order to really understand it I needed to take an active part in it. I earned my real estate license and started investing in rental properties. My primary focus in those days was new construction and commercial investment. I served on several boards and became the president of the Commercial Industrial Real Estate Board.
The company I was licensed with entered the field of limited partnerships and I agreed to develop that arm of the business as the licensed principal of Capital Growth and Shelter. In addition to limited partnerships we sold mutual funds and insurance products in order to provide a diversified portfolio for our investors.
Personal interests eventually led me to participation as a partner in other real estate brokerages until my decision in 2003 to open my own firm as Adirondack Real Estate LLC. It feels like I have come full circle to be back in my home area working and interacting with the people that I love and enjoying a quality of life that some people spend a lifetime searching for.
Outside of working in a field that I love, my free time is spent with my beautiful blended family of 8 children and 13 grandchildren, hunting big game with my wonderful husband Cliff (an interest that started with my dad at the age of 7), foraging for wild food, and spinning my angora goat's fibres. I devote as much effort as possible to my community by serving on the School Board of Warrensburg Central School and as a trustee of the Free Method Church. It's important to be a part of the community in as many ways as possible.
Why does any of this matter? Because I realize how blessed I have been in my life and how lucky I am to have found a profession in which I can help others follow their dreams and accomplish their goals. I have learned so much along this journey and I am willing to share that knowledge with you. The bonus to me is that I have made so many friends along the way and I we'll have an opportunity to do the same.
