Adirondack Bible Fellowship
In our natural understanding, Adirondack Bible Fellowship is a small, newly formed church in a remote town in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in New York. But by the power of God, Adirondack Bible Fellowship (ABF) is a mighty church, strong in His Spirit with roots that go back well over one-hundred years and are held in the palm of His Hand. In the early 1800’s God was starting a work in Newcomb, then called Pendelton, when a group of the founding fathers began meeting together. One original member of that group wrote; “The Lord is doing a work here and almost every soul has been visited by the Awakening Spirit and are anxiously inquiring what shall we do to be saved?” In 1845 these believers formed the Wesleyan Methodist Society (Church). From that time several changes in name have occurred but that original passion to see souls saved through Jesus Christ; the original mission to be the Hand of God reaching out to the hurting and those in need, and the desire to be the reflection of God’s great love and mercy has never changed. God’s Word says, “He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.” This truth is evident as ABF continues to build on the rich legacy of service of those who came before us. Adirondack Bible Fellowship was incorporated in 2018. Our phrase “God’s Word…Our Foundation” is truly the foundation fellowship is firmly built upon. We continue to reach out to the community and beyond with the Good News of the Gospel. We have an active teen group, children’s church, adult Bible studies, and support various ministries worldwide. We invite you to join us for Sunday service at 9:00 a.m. You will find ABF to be a welcoming church for a day if you are visiting our area or for a lifetime for those who make their home here in the beautiful Adirondacks.
