The Adirondack Park was established in 1892 by the State of New York. Today the Park is the largest publicly protected area in the contiguous United States. The Adirondacks is greater in size than Yellowstone, Everglades, Glacier, and Grand Canyon National Parks combined. The park itself encompasses approximately 6 million acres.

New York State has constitutionally protected this natural gem a “forever wild” preserve.

We are lucky to call Old Forge Ny home, it is one of 103 towns and villages that make up the population of 103,000 people, all living within this vast wilderness.

We are but a grain of sand in this Forever Wild area we call home!
